Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), is one of the most successful, evidence-based treatments for depression and anxiety disorders, including phobias, obsessive-compulsive and panic disorders and eating disorders. CBT is a time limited, highly structured, active, skills building treatment intervention. The benefit of this type of treatment is that if we can change the way we think, then we can change the way we feel and act, even if we can't change our situation.

Couples

Therapy

This form of therapy can be used by any couple who is in a committed relationship, or those trying to navigate through ending their relationship in a peaceful and collaborative manner.

While engaging in treatment, a couple will have the opportunity to develop effective communication and problem-solving techniques.

Couples are able to learn how to build upon the strength of their relationship and meet the demands and stress that everyday life or transitions can bring.

Psychodynamic

Psychotherapy

Talk therapy is effective for a wide range of mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, panic and stress-related physical ailments.

The treatment emphasis is self-examination, self-reflection and self-knowledge, with a goal towards the alleviation of symptoms and leading a healthier life. This can be short or long-term, depending on need.

Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), is a comprehensive cognitive-behavioral treatment for complex, difficult to treat psychiatric disorders.

DBT treats individuals with borderline personality disorders, binge eating, depression and substance dependence.

Dr. Harris integrates DBT

concepts into treatment when appropriate.

Parent

Coaching

As any parent will attest, parenting is one of the hardest jobs there is, and it doesn’t come with a guidebook.

Each parent/child combination is unique and can face its own particular difficulties along the way. Parent coaching helps one, or both, parents navigate the highs and lows of raising a child, from typical children to those with special needs.
